The extended technology acceptance model for Web 2.0 technologies in teaching

Web 2.0-based learning enables collaborative and knowledge sharing makes an important contribution to student learning. This study extended the original Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by considering effects of tool literacy, metacognitive self-regulation, subjective norm, facilitating conditions, institutional support understand pre-service teachers' intentions use 2.0 technology in their courses. The sample data 318 responses were from teachers. Structural equation modeling results showed a good fit for model, indicating that self-regulation norm had significant influence on perceived ease usefulness, while enabling conditions not significantly associated with them. In addition, usefulness influenced attitude, which turn effect intention. Furthermore, use, attitude acted as mediators behavioral indirect also significant. Overall, current helps researchers practitioners better future technologies
